I am many things, and one of them is a photographer. I live in West Newbury, Massachusetts, and am a Member Artist of the Newburyport Art Association and a Steering Committee member for the regional NAA Photography Interest Group (PhIG). My work has been shown in dozens of art shows in the area.

I am most interested in capturing a range of unplanned photographs of unique “fleeting moments.” At best, such pictures can speak to the human condition, tell a story, and hold on to a glimpse of fleeting beauty.

My photographs are nearly all spontaneous and unplanned, and I try to make images that are distinct in some way from the vast sea of photographs all around us. The pictures range from close-ups to wide shots, and from vibrant colors to classic black-and-white. The images are of people; townscapes and cityscapes; landscapes; the natural world; and abstract or ambiguous scenes. Many of the pictures are of my home in New England, but also from other parts of the United States, as well as countries like Norway, Portugal, Canada, France, England, Italy, Croatia, Japan, and a growing list of others. Fleeting moments transform into art.
